This past summer while I was attending a summer inservice meeting with the seminary and institute instructors in our region i listened as one of the brethren mentioned that he had started a blog that was scripturally based for his children who were all now out of the home. He said it gave him an opportunity to stay in touch with his kids, as well as share scriptural insights as a father with his children. I thought it was a good idea and thought I would like to try it for my own family. So, here I begin...
"And upon these I write the things of my soul...For my soul delighteth in the scriptures, and my heart pondereth them, and writeth them for the learning and the profit of my children."
I have taken the title of my blog from this Scripture and as is the custom in our home, I will not give you the reference, so that you may find it for yourself. It was said once that if you give a man a fish he eats for a day, but if you teach him to fish he eats for a lifetime...go, fish! Whoever gets the correct scripture reference will win a small prize.
My goal is to post a few times a week things I have gleaned over the years and in my current teaching in seminary little nuggets of truth in a very simple and straightforward way. Please feel free to comment and add any thoughts you have.

2 Nephi 4:15. Many of the Gentiles shall say: A Blog! A Blog! We have got a blog, and there cannot be any more blog. But thus saith the Lord God: O fools, they shall have a blog...
Blast! I even hurried home so I could see what this was about!
This reminds me of when we would get those delicious truffles from Costco and then scripture chase to get one.
I guess Emily wins the prize! A small bag of Swedish Fish for you. Sorry it is not the Costco size bag.
Yes! Triumph.
